How to set a focus before doing a meditaton.
 

Connect with the Earth

Focused walking can bring a strong sense of contentment and rhythm to our bodies, minds and hearts.

Find a place in nature to walk, the quieter and less touched by human minds and hands the better. Focus your attention on each foot's impact with the ground. First the ball of your foot touches the Earth and then your heel rolls down as your foot completely contacts the ground and then lifts again. There is a rhythm here of touching the Earth with your feet over and over again. The sensation can change so that it feels like the Earth is touching your feet rather than the other way around. This can feel like a soft and reassuring touch of the Earth and a participation with the rhythm you experience in walking.
